Nixons/Bushs Abuse of Power shows flaws in the political system

When I watched the movie Frost/Nixon (2008) I decided to bring out what I thought about it. Whether it may be a distortion of history or not, and whether Nixon did confess or not, what I thought was good in the movie was what the Actor that played Nixon said  “Under the right circumstances the president can do whatever he wants” and also Bush abused his power as a president.

So what this movie got me to think was that maybe it’s bad that under national emergencies a president (Bush/Nixon/Clinton/Obama) has all the power and the U.S. Constitution can be suspended but can do relief efforts faster (or so that’s the argument/excuse) but can allow the president to change this country into a dictatorship and can go to war with the people at any time. Although if we put too many checks and balances what if a natural disaster happens and nobody is there to help because it’s all being debated by bureaucrats?

What also concerns me about a presidents powers to aid relief efforts is that a President could order a tectonic strike or can cause a natural disaster in order to gain approval ratings, suspend the U.S. Constitution and control a country using both fear and bullying.

Well I don’t know what the solution is but I think we need a change in government because it’s been exploited and Nixon’s (and Bush’s as well) abuse of power and Watergate (Warrant-less wiretapping under Bush/Obama) exposes this fact that a president has more control then even a King/Queen because they seem to be just a figurehead and that the parliament is really in control but the systems been abused in Britain because they have no written Constitution and so the Catholic Church (evil Vatican pope) rules the roast of their government. Well the fact this president has the power to veto bills scares the hell out of me and it seems like it’s too easy to corrupt a democracy. Maybe we need a new system, a better system, and a system that’s truly free instead of this having to keep waring/killing people to stay free (spreading blood on the tree of liberty) we need a system that the people control and that the governments fighting for the people instead of their agendas. We need to not elect/allow any leaders that have any agenda of their own because a leaders job is to serve us, to serve the people and they need to shut the **@&&*@( UP and listen to the people instead of debating what they believe is right for the people.

What do all you guys think that instead of letting political debates happen and picking the lesser evil president we need a government where they only listen to us instead of their agendas???
